CHAMPIONS Kigali Basketball Club is on the verge of repeating last year’s success when they launched a bright start to the season beating newcomers’ 30-Plus 86-45 and Rusizi 110-42 over the weekend at Amahoro indoor stadium.
Kami Kabange scored 30 points as Espoir downed National University of Rwanda 131-41. It was their second win in a row following their 110-42 win against Rusizi on the opening day.
Elsewhere, APR came from the opening day 50-49 defeat to CSK to beat UGB 75-51 on Sunday.
New signing Lionel Hakizimana scored 20 points which helped APR secure their first win of the season.
Against CSK, APR dominated the first and second period with 12-10, 12-11, but CSK came back stronger in the third and fourth period, to win 13-12 and 16-13.
Elsewhere Espoir downed the National University of Rwanda 131-31 on Saturday at Rafiki courts in Nyamirambo, while CSK beat 30-Plus 57-41.
