Rwanda vs. Uganda
Rwanda women basketball team has recorded mixed results in the final matches of the on-going Zone 5 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
After recording a 62-52 win over Burundi on Thursday, they failed to maintain their good performance but lost to Egypt 56-81 on Friday.
Playmaker Tierra Henderson was the best player on the national side as she scored 26 points alone.
Rwanda is positioned fourth with five points coming behind Uganda, Egypt and leaders Kenya.
Rwanda’s last game in the female category will be against Uganda on Saturday.
In the men’s category which was due to be played on Friday night, Rwanda was supposed to face Somalia while Egypt took on Kenya. The finals are set for this Saturday.
The Cup of Nations will be hosted by Democratic Republic of Congo in August.
