The season is over for New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis and guard Eric Gordon.
With the Pelicans out of the playoff chase, the two players will sit out the team’s remaining four regular-season games.
Gordon was ruled out earlier with an injured left knee and the team announced Thursday that Davis will join him on the sideline because of back spasms.
The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Mike James and forward Lou Amundson for the remainder of the season.
James, an 11-year NBA veteran, appeared in 11 games with Chicago earlier this year and averaged 1.0 points and 1.5 assists. Amundson, a seven-year NBA veteran, has appeared in 345 regular-season games.
The Charlotte Bobcats have signed forward DJ White for the remainder of the season.
The 6-foot-9 White, who signed 10-day contracts on March 21 and 31, has seen action in two games for the Bobcats this season, contributing two rebounds and one steal in five minutes.
The Sacramento Kings have assigned forward Willie Reed to Reno of the Development League.
Reed is averaging 13.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists 2.4 blocks per game in five games off the bench for Reno this season. Earlier this season, Reed played for Springfield of the D-League and averaged 14.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in 44 games, of which he started 33.
